Tall Fashion News

This Just In!

LongTallSally.co.uk has launched LongTallSally.com.

Long Tall Sally is a tall women's shop which was established in London in 1976. LTS just also recently launched a U.S. website. What does this mean for those of us in the states? It means no more currency conversions! We can now shop the online clothier designed specifically for tall women in sizes and currency tailored for U.S. consumption. Also, if you have a problem, you can now call a 1-877 number to rectify your issue. America thanks LTS for recognizing the many tall women in the U.S.

What TF For the Holidays: Furry Slipper Moccasins

Ugg boots are out and Ugg Dakota Moccasins are in

This is my stocking stuffer pick for the holidays (besides diamonds). Ugg boots are out and Ugg Dakota Moccasins are in. They will keep your feet warm and comfortable all day, as they can be worn both indoors and outdoors. A molded rubber outsole guarantees durability. They run up to a size 12 and come in varying browns like chestnut, coffee, and tobacco, as well as ivory and pale pink. The Dakota will cost you $100 at ugg.com. If that is too much money, don't fret. L.L.Bean and Payless have lower priced variations listed below.

Winter Accessories: Headgear

Hats and Wraps to keep your Head Warm

It took a while but it is officially freezing in NYC! So, what better time to think about head gear, i.e. hats and wraps? My must-have-piece for this season is the The Unisex Circular Scarf from American Apparel. I just love the versatile tube-shaped fabric.  It can be worn in many ways, from a basic scarf to a head band, or even a one shoulder dress. With this scarf, you can get a lot of bang for your $28 bucks.

I am also in love with the oversized slouchy beret trend. This hot item can be seen everywhere from TV and fashion runways to the city streets. As always with trends, if you're not sure you can pull it off, but want to try it out, do not spend a large amount of money. I found the Rubbish Slouch Beret below at Nordstroms for just $14.00.

UrbanOutfitters.com has many hats and wraps to choose from. My favorite is the Heathered Slouchy Beret for $28.00.

Gloves

Gloves to keep you warm and stylish.

I’ve always had a problem finding gloves. I have this thing about keeping my wrists covered and warm during the winter. I think it has something to do with the fact that when I was younger my mom could never find coats with long enough sleeves for her  6’ little girl so she would make mittens out of socks that were longer. My mom has stopped making me mittens but my fetish for long gloves has not yet ceased. Also, these type of gloves are now in vogue! Who knew my mom was such a trendsetter?
